Writing Op-Eds: A Four-Part Workshop with David Shribman

This four-session workshop is intended for 黑料正能量 professors and staff members interested in an introduction to the art of writing op-eds and the process of getting them published.
The workshop will include Zoom sessions with prominent North American op-ed writers to explain how they do their work; previous years have included E.J. Dionne of The New York Times and Gerald F. Seib of The Wall Street Journal.
It will also include sessions with op-ed editors to learn how they select op-eds from the dozens of submissions they get every day; previous years have included editors from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, the Boston Globe, and Canada鈥檚 The Globe and Mail.
The instructor is David Shribman, the former executive editor of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette who holds a Pulitzer Prize and has written an op-ed column for more than 30 years. He is now a scholar in residence at the Dietrich College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
