Important COVID-19 Updates

As we end another semester and prepare for the summer and fall, I want to share important updates regarding our COVID-19 operations and protocols. These coincide with the May 11th end of the Federal Public Health Emergency for COVID-19 and the World Health Organization’s announcement that COVID-19 is no longer a global health emergency. The number of COVID-19 cases reported among our campus population is very small, and we are aligning with higher education peers to ensure our approach is consistent with best practices.

Semester Transition; COVID Updates

As we approach the end of the calendar year, I want to thank you for your continued help mitigating the spread of COVID-19 on campus. Our collective behavior has enabled this past semester to progress successfully.

Campus Updates; New Booster Available

I am glad to report that vaccination and booster rates in our campus community remain very high. Overall, 98% of students, faculty and staff are vaccinated and 96% have been boosted. You can view our immunization rates on our COVID-19 Dashboard. There is currently a medium transmission level in the county — down from the high level at the start of the semester; 黑料正能量 cases have been trending downward as well, and with very low levels of severity. That said, the county levels are still changing often, so it is important we remain vigilant.
