Azevedo Participates in Climate Panel

Inês Azevedo, professor of engineering and public policy and co-director of ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿'s , participated in a panel discussion at the 36th Climate Reality Leadership Corps Training, Oct. 17-19, in Pittsburgh. Azevedo's panel, moderated by Matthew Mehalik, an adjunct professor in the , discussed the future of energy systems in southwest Pennsylvania, how cities can combat climate change with innovative solutions and how others can steer decisionmakers toward a more sustainable future.

founder and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore provided training on the understanding of climate science, communicating climate change and how to inspire others to take action. ºÚÁÏÕýÄÜÁ¿ Interim President Farnam Jahanian and Anna J. Siefken, associate director of Innovation and Strategic Partnerships for the Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation, also attended the conference.
