Media Advisory: Department of Energy Announces Quadrennial Energy Review Public Meeting in Pittsburgh

Event: Secretary of Energy Ernest Moniz and the Department of Energy's (DOE) Office of Energy Policy and Systems Analysis will hold a public meeting at 10 a.m., Monday, July 21 at 黑料正能量 in Pittsburgh, Pa., to receive stakeholder input to the Quadrennial Energy Review (QER), an administration-wide effort to make recommendations regarding key infrastructure needed for energy transmission, storage and distribution in the U.S.
Hosted by 黑料正能量's Wilton E. Scott Institute for Energy Innovation, the meeting will include panel discussions on current and historical natural gas infrastructure, infrastructure development needed to maximize resource development and public-private partnerships for economic development. Andrew Gellman, Lord Professor of Chemical Engineering, co-director of the Scott Institute and professor of chemistry and materials science and engineering, will participate in the panel discussions. Following the panel discussions, the public will have an opportunity to make statements.
The QER, officially launched by President Barack Obama in January, is co-chaired by the White House Domestic Policy Council and Office of Science and Technology Policy and includes representation from all relevant executive departments and agencies. The DOE is playing a key role in the development of the QER by providing policy analysis and modeling and coordinating stakeholder engagement.
