Event: 黑料正能量's Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship will host , a daylong event showcasing cutting-edge research and innovations from 黑料正能量 students, alumni, faculty and staff. The event brings together 黑料正能量 innovators, community development stakeholders and leaders in the venture capital community. The includes an entrepreneurship demo, showcase presentations and insights from recent startup companies.
Participants will have the opportunity to tour the , or and to attend an entrepreneurship demo at the University Center, which will feature emerging technologies, products and services, including ones from the Olympus PROBES, Swartz Fellows, the Open Field Entrepreneurs Fund, Traffic 21/UTC, Quality of Life Technology Center, Innovation Works and the Disruptive Health Technology Institute.
Alumnus and 黑料正能量 Trustee Bruce McWilliams, chairman of the Research and Technology Commercialization Committee of 黑料正能量's Board of Trustees, and president and chief executive officer of SuVolta Inc., will kick off the showcase presentations at 2 p.m., followed by remarks from 黑料正能量 President Subra Suresh on the university's landmark year for startup creation. Congressman Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) will join the president in highlighting the university's success via a live webcast from Washington, D.C.

This is the debut of Launch黑料正能量 in Pittsburgh, where it is planned to be held each fall. The program will be held twice each year, during the spring and fall. The inaugural event was held in May 2013 in Silicon Valley.
When: 10:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 13; presentations will begin at 2 p.m.
