Staged Photography

This studio course introduces students to staged photographic practices through technical instruction, conceptual frameworks and applied methods. The hands-on format provides experience with staging scenes, studio lighting and tethered shooting. Students will engage with these topics through weekly presentations, discussions, assignments, workshops and critiques. The course examines artists who critically engage with photography through constructed imagery, while encouraging experimental approaches and creative risk-taking. A lab fee is charged for this course.
