Photography in the Dark

This evening course is formed around a series of short projects and exercises designed to explore the processes, techniques, and concepts of photographing in the dark. Students will primarily be working at night to gain experience using both natural and artificial lighting techniques in low light. Topics and techniques that will be covered include but are not limited to post-production techniques, approaches to file-preparation and digital printing, artificial lighting experimentation, portable strobe lighting, digital and analog processes. Regular lectures and demos will provide technical starting points and contextual framework for students to complete assignments. A lab fee is charged for this course.
