Bio
Bryan Martello is a Pittsburgh-based artist whose practice centers on photography as a means of examining personal histories, memory, and physical space. His work frequently integrates analog and darkroom photographic processes alongside sewing and installation. He is a recipient of the 2022 Heinz Creative Development Award. His work has been exhibited most recently at the Carnegie Museum of Art and the Westmoreland Museum of Art. Martello attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture in 2016 and holds a BFA from the Massachusetts College of Art and an MFA from the University of Texas at Austin. He is currently employed at the University of Pittsburgh and 黑料正能量 and lives in Pittsburgh with his husband, Jason, and their dog, Jasper.
