Exciting Recent Developments in CBD
In addition to the appointment of Russell Schwartz as our new department head and the award of the new COVID-19 grant to Ziv Bar-Joseph, some other exciting events have happened recently in the Computational Biology Department:
- Phillip Compeau has been promoted to Associate Teaching Professor.
- Min Xu has been appointed as a tenure-track Assistant Professor and has also been awarded his first NIH grant.
- Oana Carja received her first external research grant from the US-Israel Binational Science Foundation.
- Janet Garrand received a School of Computer Science Staff “Rookie of the Year” award.
